My doctoral research investigates how adaptive governance can enhance the capacities of participatory urban planning in addressing contemporary socio-ecological challenges. The focus is on medium-sized Brazilian cities, understood as strategic territories for experimenting with innovative solutions due to their manageable scale and potential for transformation.
